Ukraine kills six Russian election commission members, official says

Ukrainian attacks have caused the deaths of six election commission members and damage to 75 election commission buildings in 11 Russian regions, Russian Central Election Commission Chair Ella Pamfilova has said.

Earlier, Pamfilova also said that a member of a precinct election commission in Russia’s Bryansk Region was seriously injured when a car she was travelling in came under a UAV attack, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

According to the Central Election Commission, United Russia won 349 seats, giving the party a constitutional majority.

The Communist Party secured 37 seats, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) 23, New People 19, and A Just Russia – For Truth 17 seats.

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin noted that the election campaign was conducted on a competitive basis.

“High voter activity is evidence of the consolidation of our society and the unity of citizens,” Volodin remarked.
