Ukraine needs €4 billion, 25,000 generators to survive winter
Ukraine needs about €4 billion and a lot of equipment to get through the heating season this winter, Ukrainian Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Chernyshov said, Strana Today quotes him as saying.
According to him, the Ukrainian side is asking its partners to help in a way that helps the country survive the winter.
“We need four billion euros to get through this winter, to renovate houses, to support health care and energy supply. We want a million Ukrainians to return home by the end of the year, and they need decent conditions,” Chernyshov said.
As the Ukrainian said, with regard to equipment, Ukraine needs about 3,000 mobile stations for water purification, 1,500 heating stations, 25,000 diesel generators and about 300,000 electric heaters.
Chernyshov added that only 6,000 generators were purchased from this list.
