Ukraine rejects Russian claims of planned attacks via Latvia
Ukraine has dismissed Russian allegations that it is preparing attacks against Russia from Latvian territory, calling the claims “falsehoods” and part of a wider disinformation campaign.
Spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Heorhii Tykhyi said in a post on X that there is no truth to the accusations, Caliber.Az reports.
There is no truth in Moscow’s latest set of falsehoods accusing Ukraine of preparing attacks against Russia from the territory of Latvia. We officially refute them.

“There is no truth in Moscow’s latest set of falsehoods accusing Ukraine of preparing attacks against Russia from the territory of Latvia. We officially refute them,” Tykhyi wrote.
He stressed that Ukraine does not use Latvian territory or airspace for any operations against Russia and has no intention of doing so.
“Ukraine does not use the territory or airspace of Latvia in its operations against Russia and does not intend to do so,” he said.
Tykhyi described the allegations as part of what he called a broader Russian propaganda effort aimed at influencing public opinion in Latvia and the wider Baltic region.
“Russian lies are merely an extension of its broader propaganda campaign aimed at destabilising public opinion in Latvia and the wider Baltics,” he added.
He also expressed appreciation for Latvia’s position, saying: “We thank our Latvian friends for seeing right through them.”
