Ukraine's public debt grows by $5 billion

Public debt and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine on January 31, 2023, amounted to 4 258.20 billion hryvnias, or $116.44 billion.

RBC-Ukraine reports citing the Ministry of Finance that during January 2023, the amount of debt increased by 185.35 billion hryvnias or 5.06 billion dollars.

It is noted that in January, the government's foreign currency accounts in the National Bank received $4.33 billion. This sum includes $3.26 billion from the European Union and $1 billion from the United States of America (through the World Bank Trust Fund).

According to the agency, in 2022, the national debt of Ukraine increased by 13.7 per cent ($13.42 billion) to $111.38 billion.
