Ukraine’s military says Russian forces carried out a large-scale drone attack overnight, launching 209 attack and decoy unmanned aerial vehicles across the country.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the assault included Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas attack drones, as well as Parodiya drone simulators designed to overwhelm air defences, Caliber.Az reports.

As of 8:30 a.m. local time, Ukrainian air defence systems had intercepted or suppressed 180 drones in the north, south, and east of the country, according to preliminary data.
“Hits by 27 attack UAVs were recorded at 15 locations, as well as debris falling at five locations,” the General Staff said.
Officials added that the attack was still ongoing at the time of the report.
