Ukraine seeks emergency energy aid from Hungary, Poland, Slovakia Amid peak load

Ukraine has sought emergency assistance from the energy systems of Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia during a peak load period.
The need for emergency electricity supplies arose on the evening of July 1 to reduce consumption restrictions and bolster reserves within Ukraine's energy system, the country's energy company Ukrenergo made a post on its Telegram channel, Caliber.Az reports.
To address ongoing energy demands, Ukrenergo announced plans to import electricity from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova on July 2. The total import volume is expected to be 30.7 thousand megawatt-hours.
