Ukrainian drone attacks repelled across Russian regions, Moscow targeted
Russian authorities have reported a series of overnight Ukrainian drone attacks targeting multiple regions, including the Rostov region, Chuvashia, and the capital, Moscow.
According to Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar, air defence systems destroyed ten unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across several districts, including Millerovsky, Milyutinsky, Sholokhovsky, and Kasharsky.
He said that in the settlement of Teplye Klyuchi in the Kasharsky district, a missile strike damaged a private residential property. Residents of one of the apartments were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported, and those affected are currently staying with relatives. The roof, windows, and fence of the property sustained damage.
Local authorities and emergency services have arrived at the scene to assess the impact and determine the extent of material losses. Officials said assistance will be provided to affected residents. Slyusar also warned that the drone threat in the region remains ongoing.
In a separate incident, authorities in Chuvashia reported that the cities of Cheboksary and surrounding districts were targeted in a drone strike. Regional head Oleg Nikolayev confirmed that one person was injured, though their life is not in danger. Medical personnel are providing the necessary care.
Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that three Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed while attempting to approach the capital overnight. Emergency services are currently working at the sites where drone debris fell.
