Ukrainian forces conduct artillery, drone strikes on Russia’s Kursk region

Sixteen drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were shot down over the Kursk region in the past 24 hours, while artillery was used 24 times against evacuated areas, Alexander Khinshtein, governor of the region, announced on his Telegram channel.

“From 09:00 on February 23 to 07:00 on February 24, 16 enemy drones of various types were downed. The enemy used artillery 24 times on evacuated areas. Twice, drones attacked our territory by dropping explosive devices,” Khinshtein wrote.

He added that shell fragments struck two private homes and damaged a vehicle in the village of Korenevo, Korenevsky District, but there were no casualties or injuries.
