Ukrainian forces strike port in Russia's Krasnodar region, damaging vessels, piers
In the village of Volna in Russia’s Krasnodar region, a drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine damaged two piers and two vessels.
The Krasnodar region’s operational headquarters stated on Telegram that fires broke out on the piers, covering areas ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 square meters, Caliber.Az reports.
“All individuals who were on board the vessels have been evacuated. There are no casualties among either the crew members or shore-based personnel,” the headquarters’ statement read.
Firefighters are extinguishing fires at the port, while operational and specialised emergency services are also working at the scene.
Near the village of Volna is the Taman port, a major hub for transshipment of export cargo. Earlier, the regional operational headquarters reported that a pipeline was damaged at one of the terminals during the drone attack.
