Ukrainian president arrives in Finland for Nordic leaders' summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a surprise visit to Finland on May 3 to participate in a summit gathering the leaders of the five Nordic nations.
During the visit, Zelenskyy and Finnish President Sauli Niinistö will hold official talks. They will touch upon Ukraine's fight against Russia and Finland's support for the country, as well as bilateral relations between the countries and the global geopolitical situation. After the talks, the presidents will hold a joint press conference, RBC-Ukraine reports.
Meanwhile, Yle reports that Zelenskyy's reception ceremony will be held at the presidential palace.
During his visit, Zelenskyy will also attend a meeting of the Nordic prime ministers. The meeting will be held in the afternoon at the presidential palace and will focus on support for Ukraine and other topical security issues.
The Ukrainian president will also meet with Petteri Orpo, Speaker of the Finnish Parliament.
