Ukrainian security service charges Russian transport minister
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) charged the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev, due to whom about 300 units of enemy armoured vehicles were transferred to the occupied Crimea.
“As a result of investigative and operational actions, a charge was reported to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev, who participated in the preparation and conduct of armed aggression against Ukraine, Ukrayinska Pravda reports referring to the press service of the SBU.
It has been established that a high-ranking official assisted the Ministry of Defence of the aggressor country in moving personnel, weapons and military equipment of the invaders to the borders of our state and to the occupied areas. The transfer of enemy columns was carried out by rail through the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The SBU found that in the period from March 26, 2021 to September 4 this year, Savelyev ensured the delivery of almost 300 units of enemy armoured vehicles to the captured peninsula.
Among them are Russian tanks, armoured personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and tank trucks with hundreds of tons of fuel and lubricants.
"It was this technique that the invaders used at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, in particular, in the fighting in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions," the SBU notes.
