Ukrainian TV channel loses signal after Russian strikes on Kyiv data centres

Ukrainian television channel Novini LIVE lost its signal following Russian strikes on data centres in Kyiv, ASTRA reports.

The channel’s editorial office said that multiple Russian strikes on telecommunications providers in Kyiv had disrupted some services, affecting its broadcast.

Internet provider Kolo TV also reported damage to its equipment on September 26.

“This time, the situation is much more complicated. It will take several hours to restore service. Perhaps we’ll be able to do it sooner,” the company said.

Earlier, Russia’s Defence Ministry said Russian forces had attacked the Kosmonova data centre during the night of September 26. According to the ministry, the facility provides support for Starlink satellite communication systems on behalf of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
