Ukrainian UAV strike hits residential building in Russia’s Vladimir region PHOTO/VIDEO

A residential building caught fire in the Russian city of Vladimir after it was struck by a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), regional Governor Alexander Avdeev said. No casualties were reported.

Avdeev said the UAV hit one of the apartments, prompting the evacuation of residents. Emergency services responded to the scene and extinguished the flames, Caliber.Az reports.

The fire broke out at a building on Mira Street in Vladimir’s Leninsky District, according to ASTRA.

Eyewitnesses shared footage showing flames on the top floor of the building.

An airfield is located about three kilometres from the site, while Semyazino Airport, also known as the Vladimir Air Base, is approximately seven kilometres away.
