US C Spire withdraws Olympic advertising over controversial opening ceremony

The American telecommunications company C Spire has announced it will withdraw its advertising from the Olympic Games in Paris.
Representatives of the organization announced the social network X, Caliber.Az reports via the company’s tweet.
The decision came after the opening ceremony of the Olympics, where a spoof of "The Last Supper" featured transgender individuals and other sexual minorities.
“We were shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper during the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics. C Spire will be pulling our advertising from the Olympics,” the statement said.
