US-Iran clashes cease in Persian Gulf

Clashes between the armed forces of the United States and Iran in the area of the Strait of Hormuz have ended after several exchanges of strikes, Tasnim news agency reports, citing a source.

Earlier, Fars news agency reported that several clashes had occurred near the Strait within the past hour. Explosions were heard in the Sirik area of Iran’s southern Hormozgan province.

However, there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

Meanwhile, Iran is continuing to review a US proposal aimed at ending the conflict and will announce its position once a final decision has been reached, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghai said.
