The United States National Security Advisor to President Joe Biden, Jake Sullivan, met with the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.
As reported by TASS, John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the National Security Council (NSB) at the White House, reported this at a regular online briefing for journalists.
"Mr. Sullivan met this morning with the president of Georgia," said the representative of the American administration. According to him, Zurabishvili and Sullivan "had the opportunity to discuss the recent development of events in Georgia, including protests against the controversial legislation."
"We are glad that this legislation has been withdrawn. We, of course, continue to support the democratic future of Georgia and its transatlantic aspirations", - said the staff member of the National Security Service.
