US-Russia medical device trade hits new highs
In November 2025, US imports of medical and veterinary devices from Russia surged, reaching $216,700—a fourfold increase compared with the same month last year.
This marks the highest level of such imports since March 2022, according to RIA Novosti, citing US government trade data.
Month-on-month, shipments tripled, while year-on-year growth reached nearly four times. Russian exports to the US included electrodiagnostic equipment and components ($19,000), dental instruments ($17,200), and other medical devices ($180,500). Over the first 11 months of 2025, total US imports of Russian medical devices rose 32% year-on-year to $809,500.
Meanwhile, US exports of medical equipment to Russia also climbed. November shipments rose 1.8 times from the previous month and increased 21% year-on-year, reaching $8.9 million—the highest monthly total since September 2024.
