Uzbekistan among top importers of Russian gasoline in 2025 Figures

Uzbekistan emerged as one of the key destinations for Russian gasoline in 2025, maintaining stable imports despite a nearly 40% drop in Russia’s overall maritime fuel exports.

According to Caliber.Az, citing local media and Russian industry sources, most shipments to Central Asia were carried out by rail due to an export embargo on Russian gasoline. Uzbekistan ranked second among regional countries, importing approximately 510,000 tons of fuel over the year.

The deliveries were made under special duty-free quotas, which helped sustain the market and prevent supply disruptions even during the most stringent domestic restrictions in Russia.

By the end of 2025, shipments slowed temporarily as annual quotas were nearly exhausted. However, starting February 2026, Russian refineries received approval to resume unrestricted exports, paving the way for a potential recovery of previous supply volumes to the region.
