Uzbekistan's energy company fires heads of four oil depots over serious violations
Uzbekneftegaz board chairman Abdugani Sanginov has dismissed the heads of the Termez, Jizzakh, Marokand and Kuchlik oil depots after serious violations recorded over the past year, the company’s press service announced.
Company officials said oil depots must prioritise supplying the population with quality petroleum products and providing services based on honesty, integrity and transparency, Caliber.Az reports.
Sanginov took over as head of Uzbekneftegaz in December 2025, replacing Bahodir Siddiqov, and has pledged to approve a new company transformation strategy in the near future.
Uzbekneftegaz is the central state-owned holding responsible for Uzbekistan’s oil and gas industry, overseeing exploration, production, processing and storage of hydrocarbons since its establishment in 1992.
The company operates a large share of the country’s hydrocarbon infrastructure and plays a key role in national energy security and export supply, with international partnerships in field development and chemical projects.
