Western Azerbaijan Community demands PACE to stop double standards towards Azerbaijan
The Western Azerbaijan Community has demanded that members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) stop double standards against Azerbaijan.
Some forces, at the behest of certain circles, launched a large-scale campaign against Azerbaijan in PACE on the grounds of racial discrimination, as a result of which the Azerbaijani delegation decided to suspend its activities in the assembly, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Community’s statement.
"The anti-Azerbaijani resolution adopted by PACE on January 24, 2024 is the culmination of this shameful campaign."
The Community claims that the true motive of the campaign is clear from the text of the resolution: "Azerbaijanophobes cannot "digest" the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity."
It also stressed that the biased statements of the so-called “defenders” of human rights, who have not said a word during the 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani lands, have no value for the people of Azerbaijan.
