Western Azerbaijan community slams EU High Representative’s statements regarding regional situation
The Western Azerbaijan Community has condemned statements by Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, regarding the situation in the region.
In its statement, the community condemned the slanderous statements of the head of European diplomacy against Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The community emphasised that Borrell's statements on alleged "military intervention", "use of force" and "150,000 Armenians who were forced to flee Karabakh" do not correspond to reality.
"Never the Armenians themselves voiced the figure of 150,000, and it is not known where Borrell got it from. We have a counter question, how many Western Azerbaijanis did Armenia deport from their historical homeland? Obviously, due to double standards and an approach based on ethnic and religious preferences, the EU High Representative will try to avoid answering this question," the statement reads.
