Woman killed in drone attack on Russia’s Bryansk region
A woman was killed after a Ukrainian drone targeted a civilian car in the Bryansk region of western Russia, local authorities reported on October 23.
According to regional governor Aleksandr Bogomaz, the strike took place in the village of Novye Yurkovichi in the Klimovsky district. He said the Armed Forces of Ukraine used an FPV drone to carry out a “targeted attack” on a moving vehicle.
“As a result of the terrorist attack, unfortunately, a woman who was driving the car was killed,” Bogomaz said in a statement posted on Telegram.
He expressed condolences to the victim’s family and said they would receive all necessary assistance, including financial support.
The latest incident follows a similar attack reported a day earlier, when one civilian was killed and another injured in a Ukrainian drone strike on the region. The injured person was hospitalised, while local authorities pledged aid to the family of the deceased.
