World's richest people have descended on Mar-a-Lago since Trump's election win
Six of the 10 richest people on the planet have visited the incoming US president's private residence in Mar-a-Lago Florida multiple times since his election win in November 2024.
An analysis of private jet records conducted by Bloomberg illustrates how Donald Trump’s private Palm Beach club near his Florida residence has become a new hub for America's "tech oligarchy", Caliber.Az reports.
"Former President Donald Trump's private club in Palm Beach, Mar-a-Lago, has become the new center of power, as the president-elect joyfully welcomes industry titans ahead of his second term," the article states.
Since November 2024, Trump has welcomed Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg several times. In recent weeks the parent company of social media platforms Facebook and Instagram have announced the abolishment of their fact-checking mechanisms citing erroneous instances of censoring posts. Experts believe, however, that the move is a gesture to get into Trump's good graces following the pair's falling-out when Facebook blocked the then-president's account on January 6, 2021 following a mob attack on Capitol Hill.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates has also been a guest to the Trump Estates, notable considering the fact that the billionaire reportedly spent $50 million backing Democrat Kamala Harris and has been a vocal opponent to Trump, especially on matters of public health.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and Oracle founder Larry Ellison have also made multiple trips to South Florida besides SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who is going to play a vital role in the upcoming administration through a non-governmental position.
In addition, Trump’s estate has been visited by other major entrepreneurs, including billionaire brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, as well as Australia’s richest woman, Gina Rinehart.
