Yerevan considers proposal to hold Azerbaijani, Armenian FMs' meeting in Russia
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Armenia to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan has said that Yerevan is considering the Russian side’s proposal to hold a meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers in Russia.
Harutyunyan made these remarks on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, Caliber.Az reports citing the Russian media.
“There are various proposals and discussions, but there are no concrete agreements yet because there are difficulties with the work schedule. There are no problems here, there is just technical agreement. The Armenian side does not refuse any proposals,” he noted.
Earlier, Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow continues holding a dialogue with Baku and Yerevan to help them resolve the conflict, but there has been no significant progress yet.
Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova noted that if there is political will, Moscow is ready to receive the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers. She noted that there may be a full-fledged trilateral summit in the prospect.
