Yerevan remains indifferent to cooperation on missing Azerbaijanis, official say

The number of Azerbaijanis missing in the First Karabakh War is about 4,000.

The statement came from deputy head of the working group of Azerbaijan’s State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons Eldar Samadov at a briefing on the issue of missing persons in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

He noted that the main reason for this is Armenia's disrespect for international humanitarian law, disregard for universal human values, as well as years-long concealment of facts about missing persons.

According to him, Armenia continues its destructive position on this issue: "Unfortunately, our efforts to cooperate do not find a response."
