Yerevan, Washington discuss military cooperation

Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan and US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien Defence have discussed cooperation and regional security issues.

"The sides highly assessed the current level of interaction, and the US side expressed readiness to continue supporting the defence reforms underway in Armenia,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The Armenian Defence Ministry press service said the meeting was held on May 2.

“Following the meeting, the minister and the ambassador signed a document on the extension of the agreement between the two countries on cooperation in the field of countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction," the report said.
