Zakharova mocks EU proposal for military restrictions on Russia

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has mocked comments by the European Union’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, regarding potential conditions for future negotiations with Russia over Ukraine.

Zakharova responded after Kallas said the European Union would seek military restrictions on Russia as part of any possible peace negotiation process, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media. 

Commenting on the remarks on her Telegram channel, Zakharova cited a line from a Soviet-era song, writing: “It reminded me of the line ‘I quietly talk to myself.’”

The phrase references the song “Travy, Travy,” composed by Vladimir Shainsky with lyrics by poet Ivan Yushin.
