Zelensky, Johnson discuss new phase of military aid to Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has discussed with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson macro-financial and defense support for Ukraine, as well as sanctions against Russia and future security guarantees, Interfax-Ukraine reports citing the Ukrainian president's deputy chief of staff, Andriy Sibiga.
"The conversation with Johnson was very substantive. It concerned both macro-financial support for our economy to minimize the negative caused by the war and, most importantly, so that it is not felt by our citizens. Obviously, they talked about defense support. It is about a new phase and quality of the allies' military assistance to Ukraine. The question is about heavy equipment. However, I believe that such issues don't need publicity. We have confidence in our allies," Sibiga said.
He also said, the counterparts talked about sanctions against Russia, future joint activities and the future security system for Ukraine.
