Zelenskyy's office: Ukraine liberates 1,023 settlements from Russian occupation
Deputy Head of the Office of Ukraine’s President Kyrylo Tymoshenko has said that 1,023 settlements have already been liberated from Russian occupation, and demining and restoration of infrastructure continues on these territories.
“So far, 1,023 settlements have been de-occupied,” Tymoshenko said at a briefing on June 17, according to Ukrinform.
According to him, the damaged infrastructure is being put in order in the Sumy region, the employees of the State Emergency Service are clearing the territories in the settlements of Brody, Akhtyrka, Klimentovo, Lyudzha from landmines.
Tymoshenko noted that in the Zhytomyr region, the territory is also being cleared of explosive objects in the settlements of Memech and Sholomki, Korostensky District, and repair work is underway to restore damaged roofs in Malin and the village of Yurovka in Malinsky territorial community.
He also noted that public utilities are working to restore the roof of the Ovruch children's and youth sports school.
The Deputy Head of the Office informed that in the Kharkiv region, in the villages of Cherkasskaya Lozovaya and Kulinichi, power supply was resumed to 260 residents, in the village of Malinovka, Chuguevsky district, power supply was connected to 500 consumers.
“Work on the restoration of the housing stock continues, despite the tense situation at the front. Municipal services of Kharkiv and the region work in any weather and despite the circumstances. Over the past day, specialists have repaired 30 roofs in Kharkiv, and dismantled damaged playgrounds and sports grounds,” Tymoshenko said.
