MFA: Head of Azerbaijani embassy's security in Iran killed in armed attack

On January 27, at about 8:30 am Baku time, an armed attack was committed on the Azerbaijani embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az that the attacker broke through to the security post and killed the head of the security service with a Kalashnikov assault rifle.

“Two embassy security guards were injured while repulsing the attack. Their condition is satisfactory. This crime is currently being investigated. The public will be provided with additional information. Allah şəhidimizə rəhmət eləsin!” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
