Azerbaijan, Pakistan advance defence ties with new education initiatives PHOTO / VIDEO
A high-level delegation from Pakistan’s National Defence University visited Azerbaijan’s National Defence University this week to enhance bilateral military education ties and discuss the establishment of new institutions to modernise Azerbaijan’s military training infrastructure.
The delegation, which included senior leadership and participants of Pakistan’s National Security and War Course, was given a detailed overview of Azerbaijan’s defense university, its structural reforms, ongoing initiatives, and long-term educational goals, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The programme included formal presentations and in-depth discussions on enhancing institutional ties between the two countries’ military academies.
Major General Arif Hasanov, Deputy Rector for Science and Head of the Military Scientific Research Institute at the National Defence University, officially welcomed the delegation. In his remarks, he emphasised the historic friendship and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, highlighting the strategic importance of deepening educational collaboration in the defence sector.
The visit concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts and a group photo to mark the occasion. Officials from both nations reaffirmed their commitment to further developing military academic partnerships and exploring new avenues for professional military education.
