Moscow: Biden's statement confirms Zelenskyy makes no decisions in Kyiv

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said that US President Joe Biden made a statement that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for a counteroffensive.

This confirms that decisions in Ukraine are not made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Gazeta.Ru cites Zakharova as telling a briefing on January 27.

“What happens in the Ukrainian president’s residence on Bankova Street? Who makes decisions? We understand that these decisions are not made by President Zelenskyy, although he pretends to make these decisions. The US president has just spoken about the expected actions in Ukraine in spring,” the diplomat said.

Zakharova noted that a new batch of US weapons worth $2.5 billion will be helpful.

“Among the US weapons are armoured vehicles, artillery, ammunition,” she added.
