Armenian defence minister embarks on working visit to Germany
A delegation led by Armenia's Defence Minister, Suren Papikyan, has embarked on a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany on May 12.
This information was shared by the press office of Armenia's Ministry of Defence, Caliber.Az reports.
Note that, in late March 2025, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, accompanied by First Lady Elke Büdenbender, made a historic official visit to Armenia—the first by a German Federal President.
During his stay from March 30 to April 2, President Steinmeier engaged in discussions with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The talks focused on enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including economy, investment, infrastructure development, energy, tourism, education, and culture.
The leaders also emphasized the importance of Armenia's European integration and Germany's support for Armenia's reform agenda
