Armenia advances “Trump Route” talks with OSCE to boost regional ties
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu to discuss issues related to the organisation’s activities.
The talks also addressed regional processes, including the continued institutionalisation of the peace achieved between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reported, citing Armenian media.
Highlighting the potential of regional connectivity, Minister Mirzoyan underscored the importance of launching the “Trump Route” (TRIPP) project and facilitating wider unblocking through open borders.
TRIPP is a major regional infrastructure initiative designed to connect mainland Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic exclave through Armenia’s Syunik region.
The project is supported by a declaration signed on August 8, 2025, in Washington by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, along with U.S. President Donald Trump. TRIPP is intended to serve as both a peace-building mechanism and a logistics corridor.
The initiative includes the development of new rail and road links, oil and gas pipelines, fibre-optic communications networks, and power transmission lines. Its broader goal is to integrate South Caucasus states into the “Middle Corridor” trade route linking Europe and Asia, thereby boosting regional transit, trade, and economic diversification.
