Fifty rescuers from Tajikistan arrive in Türkiye
Rescuers of the Tajik Emergencies and Civil Defence Committee have arrived in Türkiye to render assistance to the population affected by the earthquake.
Some 50 Tajik rescuers, a surgeon and a paramedic were welcomed by Tajikistan's Ambassador in Türkiye Ashrafjon Gulov, Consul General in Istanbul Zohir Mirzozoda, as well as Turkish officials on February 9 morning, according to Anadolu Agency.
They will be sent by plane to Gaziantep and then to Kahramanmaras city.
Humanitarian aid, including tents, winter clothes and food, was also delivered from Tajikistan to Türkiye.
Rescuers brought the necessary equipment for search operations.
For the first time in the history of independence, Tajikistan sent its rescuers to carry out search and rescue operations abroad.
