Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler becomes European champion

Greco-Roman wrestler from Azerbaijan Elmir Aliyev reached the final at the European Championship under 23, which takes place in the capital of Romania, Bucharest.

According to Report, the athlete, wrestling in the category up to 60 kg, met with the Israeli Melkamu Fetene in the decisive fight.

Having defeated his opponent with a score of 5:3, Aliyev became the champion of the continent.

It should be noted that Greco-Roman wrestler Hasai Hasanli (77 kg) won the silver medal earlier.
