Zelenskyy says Ukraine to spend over $500 million on drone procurement

    WORLD  26 March 2023 - 17:31

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said his government will allocate at least 20 billion hryvnias (over $541 million) to buy drones for the country's armed forces.

He made the remarks in a video address, Kommersant reports.

According to the president, the Cabinet of Ministers made several important decisions this week.

"In particular, I would like to point out the decision, which will intensify the manufacture of drones. A total of at least 20 billion hryvnias will be spent this year on the purchase of drones for our soldiers," he said.
