Netherlands commits €300 million for Ukraine’s reconstruction In 2025-2026
The Netherlands will provide €300 million to support Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts in 2025 and 2026, Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp announced on July 10 at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome.
As part of this commitment, €52 million will be allocated in 2025 to rebuild Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and restore access to drinking water. An additional €30 million will be used to support Dutch companies and organizations involved in the reconstruction and long-term recovery of the country, Caliber.Az reports per Bloomberg.
These funds are part of a broader €500 million package the Dutch government previously earmarked for non-military assistance to Ukraine, which continues to face the consequences of Russia’s full-scale invasion, now in its fourth year.
“Ukraine’s economy and society must be kept afloat, because that helps the country in its struggle. It’s essentially a front behind the front,” Veldkamp said.
