US assistant secretary of state visits Azerbaijan's Sangachal terminal

Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Geoffrey Pyatt visited Sangachal Terminal in the framework of his visit to Azerbaijan to study in detail the work process.

"He noted that Azerbaijan is an important partner in energy security, transition and efficiency," the US Embassy in Azerbaijan said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.

Earlier, Pyatt said that the US is grateful for Azerbaijan's contribution to energy security in Europe.

"We see great prospects for the development of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan," he said.

The United States positively assesses the activities of Azerbaijan in the development of "green" energy in the country, Pyatt told journalists, according to Report.

"The US is implementing large-scale projects in the field of green hydrogen. During the visit, I heard about Azerbaijan's opportunities in wind and other types of green energy," he said.

According to him, the energy systems of the world will change greatly in the next 50 years and this is a very important moment for Azerbaijan.
