Kyiv reports 43 military clashes between Ukrainian, Russian troops

Some 43 military clashes took place between the Ukrainian and Russian troops in four directions on June 8.

The Russian troops struck seven rocket launchers, two of which hit the civilian town of Uman, and 43 air strikes, and fired 79 rocket launchers at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements. There were civilian casualties, the General Staff of the Ukraine Armed Forces said in its operational summary, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

“The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Mariinsk directions. Over the past 24 hours, 43 military clashes took place in these sectors of the front,” the statement said.

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 6 strike and 4 reconnaissance UAVs of different types over the past 24 hours.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, particularly in Simferopol, there is a tendency for the local media to conceal the fact of the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP by the Russian troops and the consequences of this disaster, the report added.

It was also reported that the local occupation authorities are concerned about the possible panic among the population.

In the past 24 hours, the aviation of the Ukrainian defence forces conducted 19 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and two strikes on the Russian air defence systems. This way, six strike and four reconnaissance UAVs of various types were destroyed.

Missile units and artillery struck five command posts, six areas where manpower, arms and materiel were massed, two antiaircraft missile complexes, eight artillery units at firing positions and two more important Russian targets.
