Armenian separatists' using kamikaze dog against Azerbaijani servicemen draws international condemnation World Animal Protection International's reaction
The World Animal Protection International (WAPI - formerly World Society for the Protection of Animals) has condemned the use of dogs by illegal Armenian armed groups in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan to commit a terrorist act.
“Using an innocent animal to commit a terrorist attack is immoral, and unethical and shows how little the life of that dog, as well as the life of a person, is valued. The use of defenceless animals is disgusting. We have raised this issue with the International Companion Animal Management Coalition (ICAM) and other dog welfare charities," the society said in a statement on September 18, Report informs.
According to WAPI, the public association “Legal Analysis and Research” contacted the WAPI office in London calling on the organisation to respond to the attempt of illegal Armenian armed groups to use dogs in a terrorist act against Azerbaijan.
On September 11, at about 08:30 am, illegal Armenian armed formations on the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent was temporarily stationed, attempted to commit a terrorist attack using a kamikaze dog against servicemen of the Azerbaijani army on combat duty in the Khojavend direction.
