President’s rep: Reintegration of Garabagh Armenians is Azerbaijan’s internal matter

Representative of the President of Azerbaijan on special assignments, Ambassador Elchin Amirbayov has said that the dialogue between Azerbaijan and the Armenian population of the Garabagh region, their reintegration into Azerbaijani society is Azerbaijan’s internal matter, and these issues have nothing to do with Armenia.

“Azerbaijan is holding peace negotiations with Armenia based on the principle of mutual respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Amirbayov said in an interview with Sky News Arabia, Report informs.

He noted that the talks with representatives of the Armenian population of Garabagh will also contribute to the conclusion of a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan.

“The draft agreement has already been transferred to Armenia by the Azerbaijani side,” Amirbayov added.
