Ethnic Armenian of Garabagh praises Azerbaijani people

Garabagh resident of Armenian ethnicity Robert Khachaturyan has said that during the Soviet period, he had many Azerbaijani friends, as he worked in the regional committee of the Communist Youth League.

“I've always been pleased with the Azerbaijani people. I was born and lived in Baku. Later I settled in Khankandi, I was appointed secretary of the committee of the Communist Youth League there in 1966. From that period, I was living in Khankandi with my family,” Khachaturyan said, according to Report.

Khachaturyan stated that he does not intend to return to Khankandi as his family is currently in Yerevan.

“Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has made it clear that whoever wants can stay in Khankandi,” he added.
