Azerbaijani police find various weapons left by Armenians in Gubadli PHOTO
Work continues on the detection and seizure of weapons and ammunition left by the Armenian armed forces during the 2020 Second Karabakh War in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
Employees of the Gubadli district police department regularly conduct raids on battle sites, and inspect enemy trenches and fortifications, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Interior Ministry’s press service.
"During the next raid, two grenade launchers, a machine gun and a large number of cartridges of various calibres were found and seized," the Ministry said.
Following the liberation of its lands from Armenian occupation, Azerbaijan from November 2020 started carrying out operations on clearing its lands of mines, booby traps, and various weapons left behind by the Armenian troops.
