ANAMA reveals number of landmines defused in liberated territories

Head of the Department for International Relations, Education and Public Relations of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Ramil Azizov has said that the liberated from occupation territories are facing a serious mine threat.

"To date, more than 110,000 mines and unexploded ordnance have been identified and neutralized in the liberated territories. About 100,000 hectares have been cleared. In total, more than 8,000 square kilometers of our territory are considered contaminated," Azizov said as he addressed the international conference "Human Rights - 75 Baku Conference: Promoting universality and indivisibility to address global and national challenges," APA reports.
