Milli Majlis Speaker: Inadequate statements undermine efforts to sign peace agreement

Extremely inadequate and unacceptable statements, distorting the real situation in the region, undermine the efforts to sign a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

According to Report, Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova stated made the statement at a meeting with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky within the framework of her official visit to the country.

The Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament stressed the importance of objectivity in mediating the process of signing a peace agreement and normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan.

At the meeting, the Speaker of Milli Majlis criticized the double standards existing in the system of international relations and noted that while the decisions taken against some states are implemented immediately, in other cases the international law is completely ignored.
