Parents name newborn baby in Azerbaijan’s Khankendi in honour of Supreme Commander-in-Chief

An Azerbaijani child was born in a hospital in Azerbaijan’s Khankendi city for the first time since the liberation of the city from Armenian separatists.

The boy was born in the family of Abbas Abdullayev and Saadat Namazli, working in the Karabakh Regional Water Utility Department of the Azerbaijan State Water Reserves Agency, according to APA.

An apartment in Khankendi was presented to a young family to improve living conditions.

The baby was named in honor of the Azerbaijani Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

“I glorify Allah, today we can say that a boy was born in Khankendi after 36 years. I glorify Allah that the Azerbaijani lands have been liberated. We live on sovereign Azerbaijani lands. May Allah protect our army, our Supreme Commander. I would like to revere the memory of Azerbaijani martyrs. May them rest in peace. I wish robust health to our war veterans. I had a dream - to name my child in honour of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief. I want my child, like him, to be loyal to his country, nation,” the father of the newborn child said in an interview with APA.
