Hungarian PM suggests Trump as key figure for Ukraine ceasefire
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has proposed that former US President Donald Trump holds the unique capability to broker an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine.
Orban emphasized that Trump, in his view, possesses the influence to effectively engage both Kyiv and Moscow in dialogue to halt the ongoing conflict, Caliber.Az reports citing foreign sources.
"The US president is the only person in the universe who could make two decisive calls to Kyiv and Moscow," Orban asserted, highlighting his belief in Trump's diplomatic prowess.
Orban expressed disinterest in the geopolitical objectives pursued by Russia and Ukraine in the conflict, instead advocating for a swift resolution to end the hostilities.
He further expressed his confidence that under Angela Merkel's leadership, had she still been Chancellor of Germany, the conflict might not have escalated to its current intensity.
