About 900 trucks pile up at Poland's border with Ukraine, Belarus
Large queues of trucks have accumulated at the borders of Poland to leave for Belarus and Ukraine.
About 900 cars are trying to get to Belarus, the waiting time is 30 hours. About 1,000 vehicles are planning to leave for Ukraine at one border crossing and another 400 at another, the waiting time is 45 and 25 hours, respectively.
The data on the queues was provided by the representative of the Chamber of Tax Administration in Lublin Michal Derus, RMF reports. There are no queues from the Ukrainian and Belarusian sides.
During the last night shift at the border crossing in Dorohusk on the border with Ukraine, 640 trucks were issued in two directions, at the crossing in Khrebenny – 242 vehicles. On the border with Belarus, 639 trucks were allowed to pass in two directions during the night shift.
Russian MPs have previously proposed to limit the movement of Polish trucks. In addition, parliamentarians propose to ban the sale of fuel at domestic Russian prices for truck drivers with Polish numbers. In response, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland proposed to introduce a temporary ban on entry into the country for trucks registered in Belarus and Russia.
