Aghdam railway, bus station complex advances, transforming Karabakh's transport network
The construction of a railway and bus station complex in Aghdam, situated within the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, is advancing steadily and on schedule.
The three-storey building will house waiting areas, ticket sales counters, a dispatch room, a medical point, a police room, a mother-and-child room, luggage storage, as well as shops, a children's entertainment area, a bowling alley, a library, a restaurant, and more, Caliber.Az reports.
The complex will feature a ground-level car park, platforms, stops for intra-city, inter-district, and intercity buses, a checkpoint, a bicycle parking area, and an electric car charging station.
The railway and bus station complex is expected to be completed later this year. The railway station will serve 800-1,000 passengers daily, while the bus station will have a daily capacity of 1,300-1,500 passengers.
The new infrastructure is set to significantly enhance the logistics of the Aghdam district.
